PROGRAM GOALS

Northwestern College's Massage Therapy degree program teaches students to use the art and science of massage therapy to relieve clients' stress and pain and help them recover from injuries. Upon completion of the program, you will:

• Understand medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pathology, and kinesiology
• Understand, assess, and recommend massage therapy treatments
• Demonstrate the necessary skills to execute therapeutic massage sessions
• Actively participate in a health care team
• Be adequately prepared to become licensed as massage therapists in the state of Illinois
